Looking for a Gene Simmons Costume online? Welcome to GeneSimmonsCostume.net – your source for the best in Gene Simmons Costumes.
Halloween is nearing again, and its time to get started on a costume. What will it be? You have done the pirate thing, maybe a superhero, movie star, or maybe a nun. Why not go all out this year and dress up as Gene Simmons, aka The Demon.
Gen Simmons is the best known of the four members of KISS. Formed in New York City in 1972, KISS rose to prominence in the late seventies. Whilst their music was very popular, their live performances were the major factor in driving their massive record sales.
Their trademark face paintings and their stage outfits quickly branded the band’s identity. KISS concerts featured things such as Simmons spitting blood and breathing fire. There were guitars bursting into flames as well as being smashed, and pyrotechnics throughout the show.
If you are not sure about dressing as Gene Simmons but like the Kiss idea, there are still three other members of the band – The Starchild, The Spaceman and The Catman. They all had great costumes, and they offer some variety. Why not find three friends and make up the whole KISS band.
If you plan to dress up as a KISS character this Halloween you will need to find someone to do your make-up. The best idea is to find a face painter, and preferably someone who knows what they are doing. Finding a good wig to compliment your costume is also important. Take time and shop around for the right one.
You will also need to find a good pair of boots. That part can be a bit tricky. You have the choice of either purchasing some replica boots, or using a bit of creativity and converting some existing boots into KISS boots.
The rest of the costume can be created. While it is going to be challenging, it is definitely possible. The costume starts with a black catsuit or unitard, which you will find at places that sell dancewear. From there you need to cut the suit according to the character you are using.
Next is a trip to the local craft shop for the embellishments. You can use sequins, metal studs, rhinestones, feathers, chains and silver fabric. Other ideas are silver foil or duct tape. A combination of these can be attached to the suit, and you are ready to go.
Dressing up as Gene Simmons or one of the other KISS members will get you noticed all night. Have fun creating your Halloween costume, but more importantly, have fun wearing it.
